Dr. Fernando Doreus, Psy.D.
Dr. Fernando Doreus is a postdoctoral associate with specialized training in school psychology, developmental assessment, and child and adolescent behavioral health. He provides comprehensive diagnostic, psychological, and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with developmental, behavioral, communication, academic, and social-emotional concerns.
His clinical approach emphasizes family-centered recommendations and collaboration with caregivers, schools, and other professionals.
Clinical Experience
As part of his postdoctoral training, Dr. Doreus conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for young children with developmental, behavioral, and communication concerns. His experience includes clinical interviews, psychological and psychoeducational assessment, behavioral and developmental evaluation, diagnostic formulation, caregiver feedback, and individualized treatment planning within multidisciplinary settings.
Dr. Doreus brings extensive experience working within school and community-based settings. His background includes psychological and psychoeducational assessment of children and adolescents, K–12 counseling and consultation, therapy for children with trauma and behavioral concerns, crisis response, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary school teams.
Prior to completing his doctoral training, he also worked as an educator in public schools, providing academic interventions and supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
