In response to COVID-19, Neurokids Center is providing discounted virtual brief consultations for families who are struggling to adjust to our current health crisis due to the coronavirus. Some concerns may include common emotional and behavioral changes in children and adolescents during a lock-down, understanding and managing difficult emotions and challenging behaviors through effective parenting strategies at home, learning and implementing coping strategies and other helpful tools.

Clinical Comprehensive Assessment
Our initial Clinical Diagnostic Interview (CDI) is a 60-minute comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment where one of our licensed clinicians will meet with you and your child virtually to gather information about your child’s current and past social, educational, developmental, medical, and emotional/behavioral history. Depending on your child’s presentation, a symptom checklist may be used to support the clinician in making a diagnosis. Once the CDI is completed, treatment recommendations and appropriate referrals, if any, are provided.

Clinical Supervision and Peer Consultation
We all need a peer for support in a range of forms, for many reasons:
- To benefit from each other’s training, experience and challenges
- As trainees and/or early career professionals navigating the licensing and board certification process
- To talk through challenging interactions in our daily practice
- To work through issues triggered for the clinician (countertransference)
- To learn and use new techniques and interventions to support your patients and yourself
Clinical Supervision Booking
As qualified clinical supervisors for mental health and marriage and family therapy, we provide quality training to registered interns in the state of Florida. Supervision will be provided virtually and in person, as required by the Florida Department of Health. Clinician-Supervisor agreements must be completed prior to scheduling the first supervision session. Please email us for further information regarding this service.
