Dr. Kayleen S. Ball is a licensed pediatric neuropsychologist who provides comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with complex neurological, medical, and developmental conditions. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from Albizu University in Miami, Florida.
She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, McGovern Medical School, followed by postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology at Children’s Health/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, an APPCN member program, where she developed expertise in bilingual (Spanish/English) assessment.
Dr. Ball provides individualized neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations to clarify diagnosis, guide treatment planning, and support functioning across medical, academic, and daily settings. She works with individuals with a range of conditions, including epilepsy, brain tumors, oncology-related conditions, and other medically complex presentations.
Dr. Ball is a bilingual (English/Spanish) provider who offers culturally responsive care. She sees patients ages 18 and older.
Dr. Ball works closely with pediatric neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-oncology teams, and other medical specialists to provide diagnostic clarity and monitor cognitive outcomes over time. Her clinical interests include pediatric brain tumors, posterior fossa syndrome, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and epilepsy, including pre-surgical evaluations.
She is known for translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations and for supporting patients returning to school following medical treatment or neurological events.
Dr. Ball has contributed to clinical research and presented her work at national conferences. Her interests include bilingualism in neuropsychological assessment and its role in pediatric neurological populations.
She is also involved in mentorship, consultation, and initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion in clinical practice.
